Irlanda podría estirar su liderazgo en el Seis Naciones a 10 puntos, al menos por un par de horas, si logra un amplio triunfo ante Escocia en el Aviva Stadium de Dublin.
Si Inglaterra no sale de París y el encuentro con Francia con un resultado favorable, Irlanda podría coronarse campeón con una ronda aún por jugar. La cuarta ronda se completa con el encuentro entre Gales e Italia el domingo.
Los tres partidos podrían generar movimiento en el top del World Rugby Rankings.
Una dura derrota de Inglaterra y una importante victoria de Escocia significaría que los escoceses le quitarán el segundo puesto a los ingleses. Siendo que Escocia nunca ingresó al top 4 desde que comenzó el ranking mundial en octubre de 2003, ese sería un gran cambio.

Un triunfo por 15 puntos los llevará a 87,64 mientras que Inglaterra caerá a 87,50 de perder por un margen similar. Para Escocia, el triunfo lo elevará al top cuatro por primera vez en su historia y hasta podría elevarlo al segundo puesto si Inglaterra cae ampliamente en París.

En Francia, el único cambio será el ingreso de Francois Trinh-Duc en reemplazo del ahora suplente Lionel Beauxis.
Owen Farrell será capitán de Inglaterra en lugar del lesionado Dylan Hartley, cuyo puesto de hooker será para Jamie George. Mike Brown será suplente por primera vez bajo Eddie Jones ya que será fullback Anthony Watson y Elliot Daly irá en la punta en lugar de Watson.

Spain coach Santiago Santos rested many of his regulars for last weekend's trip to Georgia given it did not count towards Rugby World Cup 2019 qualification and so only three players remain in the starting line-up to face bottom side Germany in prop Jesus Moreno Rodriguez, centre Thibault Alvarez and full-back Mathieu Peluchon. Jaime Nava will captain the squad from number eight in a match which sees the Webb Ellis Cup in attendance as the RWC 2019 Trophy Tour visits Madrid this week.
