It was fitting that another record crowd for a women’s test in England filled the stands at Welford Road to watch local hero Emily Scarratt win her 100th international cap.

Scarratt admitted that the experience on Sunday was “better than you would ever imagine it to be” as she contributed 10 points to the Red Roses’ 69-0 defeat of Ireland.

“It was a homely feeling,” she said after the match. “You can’t really put it into words, but it was very cool.”

The centurion England centre now has the chance to help the Red Roses to a Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam when they take on France in Bayonne on Super Saturday.

As she prepares for that crucial match, we take a look at the numbers behind her 100 international appearances.

1 – Rugby World Cup winner’s medal. Scarratt scored 16 of England’s 21 points, through three penalties, a stunning try and a conversion, in the RWC 2014 final defeat of Canada in Paris.

3 – Rugby World Cup finals Scarratt has played. The centre has helped England reach the showpiece match of every Rugby World Cup she has appeared at.

3 – only three teams have beaten England when Scarratt has been in the team. New Zealand have done so eight times, including two RWC finals, while France have managed it twice and her other test defeat came against Wales in 2009.

8 – Women’s Six Nations titles Scarratt has won with England, six of which were Grand Slams. She will hope to help the Red Roses to a seventh clean sweep in Bayonne on Saturday.

10 – points Scarratt kicked on her 100th appearance in an England jersey, via five conversions at Welford Road.

18 – age when Scarratt made her test debut, against the USA at Esher in August 2008. Having replaced Georgina Roberts, it took her less than 15 minutes to score her first international try, notching England’s seventh in a 50-3 win.

19 – times Scarratt has lined up against France, more than any other nation. The centurion has lost only twice against Les Bleues, winning the other 17 matches.

51 – tries Scarratt has scored for England. She brought up her half century against Italy in Parma during this year’s Women’s Six Nations.

87 – wins in her 100 tests. Scarratt has drawn two and lost only 11 of her century of international appearances.

131 – points scored at Rugby World Cup, more than any other Englishwoman, in 14 appearances. Scarratt has scored seven tries at the showpiece tournament.
