The Jamaica women’s team has today withdrawn from the World Rugby Sevens Repechage taking place in Monaco from 18-20 June due to travel complications encountered by the delegation.

In accordance with tournament rules, the withdrawal of Jamaica from Pool B of the women’s competition means their pool matches against Kazakhstan, Papua New Guinea and Tunisia will be treated as byes with no points awarded.

The women’s competition begins on Saturday when Argentina face Mexico at 10:58 local time (GMT +2) with the remaining eleven participating teams aiming to claim the final two qualification spots for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
