Leigh Halfpenny and Damian McKenzie are the first superstars to go head-to-head in a bid to help to settle that age old debate — is rugby better in the northern or southern hemisphere?

The Ultimate Rugby Challenge: North v South is the must-watch new series that will premiere on the official World Rugby YouTube channel on Friday, 14 May, from 20:00 BST.

Viewers who tune in will see Wales full-back Halfpenny take on All Blacks playmaker McKenzie in a test of accuracy.

In a challenge designed to find the player with the most accurate kick and chase, the two test stars will earn points for hoisting an up-and-under into a target area and successfully gathering the ball before it bounces.

But, who do you think will win the day: Halfpenny or McKenzie? North or south?

Halfpenny’s battle with McKenzie is the first in a six-episode series in which world records will come under threat as players push themselves to the limit in tests of speed, agility and accuracy.

Viewers on YouTube, and all of World Rugby’s other media channels, will be able to check out the progress of two Rugby World Cup winners in both the men’s and women’s competitions as well as one of the players recently named in Warren Gatland’s 37-man British and Irish Lions squad.
