KOBE, 24 Sep - England coach Eddie Jones has made 10 changes, the most ever by England at a World Cup, for their second Pool C game.

With regular captain Owen Farrell on the bench, George Ford again plays at fly-half, and will lead the side for the fifth time against USA in Kobe on Thursday.

Bath winger Joe Cokanasiga, above, makes his first Rugby World Cup 2019 appearance with the job of replicating the power running that won Manu Tuilagi the Player of the Match award against Tonga.

Henry Slade does not feature in the match-day 23. The Exeter playmaker came off the bench in the win over Tonga but has a knee injury and is rested.

With Slade out, England will field a centre combination of Piers Francis and Jonathan Joseph.

Jones has also selected a new pairing in the pack, with England’s heaviest second rows, Joe Launchbury and George Kruis, taking over from Maro Itoje and Courtney Lawes.

Ruaridh McConnochie wins only his second cap, having made his debut in England's final warm-up match against Italy on 6 September.

Dan Cole, the Leicester prop, will equal Jonny Wilkinson’s total of 91 England caps, moving him up to joint third place in the all-time list.
