The final squads of 12 have been declared by the 16 international coaches ahead of the Gold Coast Sevens, the opening round of the 2014/15 HSBC Sevens World Series to be played at the Cbus Super Stadium on 11-12 October.

New Australia coach Geraint John welcomes back Pama Fou and Tom Cusack from injury for his first World Series event in charge of the hosts, while defending Series and Gold Coast Sevens champions New Zealand have two new players in Matt Clutterbuck and Tony Ensor.

Former Dream Team member Afa Aoino returns for Samoa having missed the entire 2013/14 season and Phil Burgess is set to captian England and three debutants in Tom Mitchell's absence through injury.

France are the only side not to name any new players and have 234 events between their 12 players. They are the third most-experienced side behind New Zealand (322) and South Africa (263).

New core side Japan, who will make their debut at this tournament alongside American Samoa, name four players from the side that won gold at the recent Asian Games and they line up against New Zealand, France and Samoa on day one.

This year's Series will also double as part of the Olympic qualification process with the top four sides at the end of the nine rounds automatically qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
