Australia's Cameron Clark is hoping to help guide his side to the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.
This weekend sees Clark and his teammates compete on home soil at the Gold Coast Sevens, the first of nine rounds on the HSBC Sevens World Series.
This year's Series doubles up as part of the qualification process for Rugby Sevens' debut in Rio, an event on Clark's radar.
"I definitely want to stick around in Sevens and help Australia get the Olympics in Rio in 2016," said Clark.
"I started playing Rugby at about eight or nine and rugby is quite big in my family. My mum is from New Zealand and my dad commentates for Fox Sports so being around it so much made me have a try and I fell in love with it."
Clark has had a fruitful history in Rugby, and this year won bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow having made his debut on the World Series in 2012.
But Clark, who was named in the second Sevens Dream Team at the end of the 2013/14 Series, is aware of the work he needs to put in to continue his development with the Australian side.
"In 2009 I was player of the tournament at the U16 Nationals, a big nationwide tournament where the likes of Michael Hooper and Liam Gill have won that award before and have gone on to bigger and greater things, so that was quite a special award to receive.
"2011 was the Youth Commonwealth Games and my first ever Sevens tournament where we walked away with a bronze. I have two of those on the shelf too having picked up one in Glasgow this year too. I then made my debut on the Series in Wellington in 2012.
"It was quite daunting, especially Wellington and the pressure of the game. But getting that out the way really helped to grow as a player. I find it easier and more relaxing now I have some more tournaments under my belt.
"I think I have matured as a player but you have to keep working. I am not complacent with how I am and just want to keep improving."
