We take a look at the highlights from the world of Sevens social media following the eighth round of the HSBC Sevens World Series.

New Zealand have one hand firmly on their 10th World Series title after beating England in the Cup final of the 2012 Emirates Airline Glasgow Sevens, with just one round remaining this season.

Two of the squad who won the reigning World Series champions' third Cup victory of the season were also nominated for the IRB Sevens Player of the Year 2012.

Tomasi Cama and Frank Halai join England's Mat Turner in the hunt for the prestigious award, won by Cecil Afrika in 2011. For the first time, the public now has the chance to vote on this shortlist on the official World Series Facebook page. The results of the public poll will be considered, along with the votes of the core team management, when finalising the winner.
