19:06 - New Zealand beat England 29-14 to be crowned champions. DJ Forbes scores his second and New Zealand's fifth try in the Glasgow final with Tim Mikkelson, Ardie Savea and Lote Raikabula also on the scoresheet for the Series leaders.

18:52 - Captain DJ Forbes scores New Zealand's second try for a 12-7 lead at half time in the Cup final. There was a lengthy delay for an injury to Bryce Heem, but the New Zealander is conscious and receiving treatment.

18:34 - All that remains is the Cup final, the teams are running out.

18:25 - Fiji make certain of third place in Glasgow with Metuisela Talebula's try securing a 31-17 win over Australia in Match 44.

18:15 - Australia score first but Fiji hit back with four tries to lead 24-5 at half time.

18:00 - Samoa are simply too strong for Wales, running out 31-12 winners in Match 43, Tom Iosefo scoring a hat-trick for the second match in succession as Samoa win the Plate.

17:50 - An Ifan Evans try cuts Samoa's lead over Wales to 12-5 at half time in the Plate final.

17:28 - Russia are the Bowl winners after beating Spain 33-19, scoring five tries in an impressive performance in Match 42.

17:18 - Ivan Kotov scores Russia's third try to give them a 19-5 lead over Spain at half time in the Bowl final.

17:01 - Kenya win the first silverware of the Glasgow Sevens after beating USA 22-14 in the Shield final. Biko Adema scored two tries in the second half of Match 41 to the delight of Kenya's raucous fans.

16:50 - Sidney Ashioya's try gives Kenya a 12-7 advantage over USA at half time in the Shield final.

16:26 - New Zealand book their place in the Cup final with a 22-7 victory over Australia in Match 40, Lote Raikabula and Bryce Heem scoring the tries in the second half.

16:18 - Solomon King's try on the stroke of half time gives New Zealand a 12-7 advantage over Australia at half time.

16:07: Mat Turner sends England into the Cup final with his sudden death try securing a 26-21 win over Fiji in Match 39.

16:05 - Nothing to spilt them at full time, they're locked at 21-21 so England and Fiji will go to extra time.

15:55 - Fiji tie the semi final up at 14-14 with seconds of the first half to go against England.

15:47 - Now for the first Cup semi final, England v Fiji.

15:43 - Wales set up a Plate final with Samoa after beating Argentina 12-5 in Match 38. A fantastic piece of skill from Tom Grabham, tapping a loose pass up into his hands, begins the Welsh recovery.

15:23 - South Africa simply have no answer to Samoa, the islanders running out convincing 47-0 winners in Match 37 with Tom Iosefo scoring a first half hat-trick.

15:12 - Four tries put Samoa in control and 28-0 ahead against South Africa at half time in the first Plate semi final.

15:01 - Spain end the involvement of hosts Scotland in the Glasgow Sevens with a 10-7 victory in Match 36, Javier Carron scoring the decisive try to set up a Bowl final with Russia.

14:50 - Andrew Turnbull scores his fourth try of the day as hosts Scotland lead Spain 7-5 at half time.

14:38 - Renaud Delmas scores in the corner in added time, but the conversion is missed and Russia hang on to beat France 12-10 in Match 35. They await Spain or hosts Scotland in the Bowl final.

14:27 - Yury Gostyuzhev shows his pace with two long-range tries to give Russia a 12-5 lead over France at half time in the first Bowl semi final.

14:15 - Kenya pick up their first win of the weekend, winning the battle for African pride with Zimbabwe 24-7 in Match 34. They will face USA in the Shield final at 16:42.

14:06 - Zimbabwe open the scoring in the all-African battle, but Kenya hit back to lead 12-7 at the break.

13:57 - Did you know ... Metuisela Talebula's two penalties in Fiji's win over Samoa in the Cup quarter finals was only the second time this has happened in a single match in World Series history. The first time was in the first ever Series.

13:54 - Andrew Durutalo scores the winning try after the hooter to give USA a 17-14 victory over Portugal in Match 33 and a place in the Shield final. Aderito Esteves was set to be Portugal's hero, but his gamble on making the big hit backfired at the death.

13:44 - Portugal score first but USA lead 12-7 at half time.

13:36 - The skies are darkening over Scotstoun Stadium as the teams take the field, is the predicted rain on the way?

13:24 - The action will resume at 13:36 with the first Shield semi final, between USA and Portugal.

13:23 - Cup semi finals: England v Fiji, Australia v New Zealand. Plate semi finals: South Africa v Samoa, Wales v Argentina.

13:22 - New Zealand complete the Cup semi final line up with Waisake Naholo scoring two of the Series leaders' six tries in a 36-5 win over Argentina in Match 32.

13:13 - Agustin Migliore scores first, but New Zealand hit back to lead Argentina 12-5 at half time.

13:01 - Tokyo winners Australia are into the Cup semi finals after tries from Allan Fa'alava'au and Shannon Walker see them come from behind to beat Wales 17-7 in Match 31.

12:51 - Damon Anderson scores the only try as Australia lead Wales 5-0 at half time, but they'll be down to six players for the start of the second half after Matt Lucas is sin-binned.

12:40 - A three-try second half blitz means Fiji power past Samoa 34-10 in Match 30, Isake Katonibau, Waisea Nayacalevu and Joeli Lutumailagi touching down.

12:30 - Fiji score first but Samoa hit back through Afa Aiono and Lolo Lui to lead 10-7 at half time.

12:19 - England are the first side into the Cup semi finals after beating South Africa 19-14 in Match 29, Mat Turner helping himself to another brace although the Blitzbokke had a chance to steal it in the dying seconds.

19:39 - James Rodwell scores the only try of the second half as England come from behind to beat Australia 19-14 in Match 24, the Pool A decider, and bring the action to a close on day one.

19:29 - Two tries apiece in the first half but Australia lead England 14-12.

19:17 - Tom Grabham's try creates history for Wales at the 28th time of asking against South Africa with a 17-5 win in Match 23 to secure top spot in Pool D.

19:07 - Wales are halfway to a first ever World Series win over South Africa, leading 12-5 at half time.

18:56 - Joeli Lutumailagi and Setefano Cakau both score two tries as Fiji power past Argentina 47-7 in Match 22 to top Pool C.

16:27 - USA battled back bravely to draw level only for Mat Turner to touch down and secure a 19-12 win for England in Match 16, setting up a Pool A decider with Australia in the last match of the day.

15:42 - Lee Williams scores two of four second half tries as Wales beat Russia 31-5 in Match 14.

15:22 - South Africa edge another tight one, Frankie Horne scoring the winning try - his second of the match - to beat Scotland 19-14 in Match 13.

15:12 - Frankie Horne scores South Africa's first try as they go into the break leading Scotland 12-7. Colin Gregor though sent the home crowd into a frenzy with a try right on the buzzer.

14:59 - Fiji set up a Pool C decider with Argentina after beating Portugal 28-5 in Match 12.

14:49 - Captain Setefano Cakau is one of three scorers as Fiji build a 21-0 half time lead against Portugal.

14:38 - Francisco Merello breaks the deadlock at the death to give Argentina a 19-14 victory over Zimbabwe in Match 11.

14:28 - Argentina score two tries in the last minute of the first half to lead Zimbabwe 14-7.

14:17 - New Zealand become the first to pass 50 points today with a dominant display against France, Waisake Naholo scoring three of the Series leaders' 10 tries in a 66-0 win in Match 10.

13:54 - Samoa become the latest to survive a scare, tries from Alafoti Faosiliva and Ken Pisi breaking the resolve of Spain to win 24-17 in Match 9.
