The International Rugby Board has confirmed that four countries will replace players at the IRB TOSHIBA Junior World Championship 2009 as a result of injuries sustained in Japan.

France have called up Gilles Bosch as a replacement for Aristide Barraud after the fly half suffered knee ligament damage in the first half of their 48-25 victory over Fiji at the Kintetsu Hanazono Stadium in Osaka on Tuesday.

Another player returning home is Nevin Spence, the Ireland centre having fractured his right wrist in their 17-0 defeat by defending champions New Zealand in Nagoya. He will be replaced by Danny Barnes.

Australia have also lost the services of centre Rob Horne to a hamstring injury. He will be replaced by full back Clinton Sills, who made his IRB Sevens World Series debut in the final two legs in England and Scotland last month.

Argentina, meanwhile, had already had to call up a replacement for Tomas Cubelli, but they have now also lost prop Tomás Ferrari with Miguel Murer the new player heading to Japan.
