Cocker suffered a hamstring injury and Ioasa injured his ankle at the London tournament, during which New Zealand's IRB Sevens World Series defence was confirmed.
Waikato’s Tim Mikkelson has been called up as replacement and Auckland’s David Smith has also joined the squad as a replacement for Zar Lawrence, who is returning home to concentrate on fifteens.
New Zealand clinched a record eighth IRB Sevens Series title in London and go into the Edinburgh tournament leading with 134 points from South Africa (98), Fiji (90) and Samoa (88).
