Mauritius have been crowned African Super 16 champions for 2005, beating Burkina Faso in the final of Africa's second tier international rugby event.
Home side Mauritius led 42-3 at the break, and went on to crush the Burkina Faso XV 106-3 at the New George Stadium in front of 3500 supporters.
From next year, the African Confederation's (CAR) second tier annual tournament, known until now as the 'Super 16', will be called the Castel Beer Trophy after the tournament sponsors, and will be played across two pools - North and South - each played in two groups, as follows:
