The second induction to the IRB Hall of Fame will take place this October after the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
The 2007 induction of rugby legends follows the first induction to the Hall of Fame in 2006 of Rugby School and William Webb Ellis.
The induction process will involve several stages including consultation with the public around the world via the internet.
The IRB Hall of Fame secretariat has compiled three lists of candidates for induction from the 19th Century, 20th Century and 21st Century.
At the induction ceremony on 21 October in Paris - during the IRB Awards Dinner - a total of five candidates will be inducted: two from the 19th Century list, two from the 20th Century list and one from the 21st Century list.
