Every picture tells a story and snappers are on the button with unforgettable images at any major sporting event, and that was no different at the Sao Paulo Sevens, round two of the HSBC World Rugby Women's Sevens Series.

People will have their own special memory from the 34 matches played at the Arena Barueri over the weekend as Australia won back-to-back tournaments for the first time in series history, impressively not conceding a single point in the knockout stages.

Here are just a few images from the two days in the Sao Paulo sun ... and rain.

HISTORY-MAKERS: Another fantastic weekend of rugby sevens saw Australia win back-to-back tournaments for the first time, with Shannon Parry and her side lifting the trophy after beating Canada 29-0 in a downpour in Sao Paulo.

SPLASH TIME: While most were eager to get off the Arena Barueri pitch after the final whistle and trophy presentation, the jubilant Australians were more than happy to reward the hardcore fans by making a splash!

PARTY TIME: The samba-beats that filled the stadium were a small indicator of what we can expect when rugby returns to Brazil for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in August. Fans at the Arena Barueri soaked up the sunshine and the skills, and while perhaps small in numbers, made great noise ... especially when the home team were in action.

FIRST-TIMERS: Australia weren't the only side to create a piece of history in Sao Paulo as Canada players had cause to celebrate a first-ever win over world and series champions New Zealand in the Cup semi-finals, captain Jen Kish scoring a memorable try in the 19-10 victory.

WELCOME BACK! One of the first names inthe Sao Paulo Dream Team was Kayla McAlister. Sean Horan's team badly missed McAlister at the last round in Dubai, and she set down a marker in Brazil, scoring 10 tries over the weekend to help New Zealand deal with the loss of try-scoring machine Portia Woodman to injury in game one.

TRY TIME! Brazil had the home crowd on their feet with some well-taken tries, especially on day one in the Sao Paulo sun.
