It was the perfect opener to the revamped HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Stunning weather, huge crowds and incredible rugby on the pitch made the Dubai Sevens a tournament to remember on the road to Rio 2016.
Fiji were in fine fettle all weekend, showing incredible skills, offloads and support lines that seem to be ingrained in Ben Ryan's coaching methods. England had beaten Australia, USA and Argentina going into the final and despite an early try from Tom Bowen it wasn't long until Fiji upped their game.
The World Reacts
40,000 tweets using #Dubai7s were sent out during the weekend's action, with over 145 million impressions on social media. It seems with the Olympics on the horizon, rugby sevens is picking up fans quick.

While South Africa were unable to defend their title at the Dubai Sevens, former Sprinbok winger Breyton Paulse is sure they will be looking for revenge at Cape Town.

Skill school
Pio Tuwai again proved himself to be a fan favourite throughout the Dubai Sevens. Big, strong and mobile, he was one of the standout players, probably because he can do stuff like this.
Will we be seeing more of the Tuwai show in the final? #Dubai7s pic.twitter.com/IeFbvXrjB0

Fans couldn't get enough of it. The best in sevens and 15s? Can't be far off.
@WorldRugby7s Not sure there is a player I prefer to watch in the World, in XVs or Sevens, than Pio Tuwai.

Time to celebrate
The celebrations at full-time were of epic proportions as Fiji notched up their first win of the series and took the momentum going into Cape Town.
There was also plenty of praise for head coach Ben Ryan who has been a revelation since taking over the side at the beginning of the 2014-15 series
Congrats to @fijirugby with winning the @Dubai7s . Love the way @benjaminryan gets the best out of Fiji! #Dubai7s
