Alesana Tuilagi (Samoa) has lodged an appeal against his suspension of five weeks imposed following a finding that he committed mid-range foul play contrary to Law 10.4(a) (striking with the knee) during the Rugby World Cup 2015 Pool B match between Samoa and Japan on 3 October.
The appeal hearing will take place at 17:00 on Friday, 9 October at the offices of RWC 2015 official law firm Clifford Chance in London before an Appeal Committee chaired by the Honourable Justice Lex Mpati (South Africa).
