CARDIFF, 28 Sept - Dan Carter is hoping to raise the roof in Cardiff on Friday having named the Millennium Stadium as his favourite place to play rugby.
Although the All Blacks' fly-half played in the 2007 World Cup quarter-final defeat at the hands of France in Cardiff (pictured), he cannot wait to grace the lush turf of the famous arena on Friday night, when New Zealand play Georgia.
"I'm often asked which is my favourite stadium at which to play," said Carter, 33, who is probably the most recognised player in world rugby.
"I always say the Millennium. I've got a lot of great memories of playing here.
"It's an amazing place with an awesome atmosphere. I'm sure Friday night will be exactly the same."
'Fans so passionate'
In six games against Wales at the Millennium - all of which New Zealand have won - Carter has scored two tries, 14 conversions and 20 penalties. His career points tally at the stadium, including the World Cup defeat, is 106.
"The people of Cardiff and Wales are like the Kiwis back home," he said. "They are so passionate about their rugby.
"Of course, we are not playing Wales this time, so it will be slightly different. But it's still going to be a capacity crowd.
"Also, as a kicker, it's quite handy having a roof on it too. That takes away the wind and rain which you can have a bit of here in Cardiff. That's an added bonus."
