Semi final 1 - New Zealand v South Africa

DJ Forbes, NZ captain

"It is pleasing, it is a good feeling but we are working pretty hard to get these wins, and we are battling really hard to get into our position. We played Samoa in the pool game and then we were straight into England so we had a pretty hard draw and that is how it has been all year, but I guess it sets us up for tomorrow. Pretty pleasing, unbeaten, but we will see how things go.

"We are here playing a tournament but it is about the whole season. As long as we can keep our eye on the prize and get maximum points, which is key, and hopefully we can front up."

Kyle Brown, South Africa captain

"It (Las Vegas) is a happy hunting ground for us, but the whole subject of the week has been teamwork and unity and I am really proud of the guys in how they are showing that right now.

"It is unconventional and pretty painful waking up twice and fighting off the demons of the previous day and going into every game, which is tough. To wake up and fight another battle and another battle is good and I am really pleased with how the team have come together and fought it.

"They (New Zealand) are the top side in the world and if you want to be number one you have to measure yourself against the best."

Semi final 2 - Fiji v Samoa

Setefano Cakau, Fiji

"That's (Cup semi finals) what we've been planning for before we left Fiji and after the game in Wellington we wanted to keep it up for this tournament here in Las Vegas.

"We want to go back to the top of the Series table. The difference is three points so we want to make it back to the final, for that IRB prize."

Stephen Betham, Samoa coach

We're just thankful that we've come through, it wasn't easy yesterday and then today but it's just one of those things how the draw went and we just have to keep fighting and moving on.

"For us it's like a home crowd back here in Las Vegas, and we'd like to thank the people for coming out and supporting us here today.

"It's (playing three day on the trot) very difficult, at the moment we have to reassess our injuries - we lost two players, and two key players at that, at the start and I'm just thankful that we put on players and they showed well to finish off the game. We'll just have to reassess and see who we play tomorrow.

"Our focus on this tour was to be consistent, and we're pleased that we've reached that consistency. Anything after tomorrow is a bonus."
