KENYA WITHOUT INJERA FOR PARIS

Kenya head coach Innocent Simiyu has made just one change to his squad for the upcoming HSBC Paris Sevens.

Simiyu had brought in Darwin Mukidza for the injured Collins Injera, who has been ruled out due to a knee problem. The remaining 11 players are unchanged from the recent HSBC Singapore Sevens, where Kenya finished seventh.

Kenya are currently 11th in the series standings and will face England, France and Spain in Pool C.

“We’ve only made one change. Collins Injera injured his knee and the doctors are looking at how best to manage his injury," said Simiyu.

"We have brought in Darwin Mukidza who is very good in the attack, very good in open play and the high ball. His physicality is quite good, having had an outstanding season and league final where he led his club side KCB to the title.”

Kenya squad: Andrew Amonde (captain), Derrick Mayar, Frank Wanyama, Dennis Ombachi, Bush Mwale, Sammy Oliech, Augustine Lugonzo, Eden Agero, Brian Tanga, Nelson Oyoo, Darwin Mukidza, Billy Odhiambo
