Following the dramatic conclusion of WXV 2 and WXV 3 which saw Scotland and Ireland claim the respective titles by the narrowest of margins, all eyes are now on the final weekend of WXV 1 at Go Media Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland on Friday and Saturday.

Hollie Davidson (Scotland) will referee the Australia v Wales match on Friday, with Maggie Cogger-Orr (New Zealand) taking charge of France v Canada, the first match of Saturday’s double-header.

Aimee Barrett-Theron (South Africa) will then be in the middle for the much-anticipated repeat of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2021 final last November between England and New Zealand.

Following France’s shock defeat to Australia in the last round in Dunedin, it’s all to play for this weekend with four teams still having a mathematical chance of being crowned champions of the inaugural WXV 1 competition.
