Rosko Specman is fast becoming one of the most spoken about players on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and his performance the final of the USA Sevens earned him the accolade of HSBC Player of the Final.

Wearing the No.11 shirt formerly worn by Seabelo Senatla before his move to Super Rugby, Specman is now the player who can turn a game on its head and in Vegas he scored an incredible individual try to help put the game out of reach of opponents Fiji. With five tries to his name, the speedster was quick to reference Senatla in an elated post match interview.

"It feels fantastic. The team was doing the hard work and I'm just there," said Specman. "It's the lucky number 11 that I'm wearing of Seabelo, it just gave me that extra speed."

Blitzboks head coach Neil Powell was also quick to praise Specman after his performances in Las Vegas. 

"He has been playing really well and is a great player to have in your side," said Powell. "With Seabelo now in Super Rugby it's great to have another player like Rosko who can step up and play a bigger role for us."

South Africa took their fourth tournament win of the series and now sit 24 poinst clear of Fiji in the series standings. The next round of the tournament takes place in Vancouver on 11-12 March.

South Africa clinched their fourth tournament win of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2016-17
