World Rugby has announced the match official appointments for the Americas Rugby Championship 2018, which kicks off on 27 January.
Inaugurated in 2016, the Americas Rugby Championship has rapidly become one of the must-watch events, providing an annual feast of highly compelling international rugby.
As the premier competition for North and South America, it also provides a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality competition schedule for participating unions and important Rugby World Cup preparation. USA is the reigning champion following an exhilarating 2017 edition.
For match officials it is also an important stepping stone on the road to future Rugby World Cups and the selection features top referees from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Uruguay and USA.

World Rugby High Performance 15s Match Official Manager Alain Rolland said: "The Americas Rugby Championship is an important arena to test the very best emerging international officiating talent across North and South America.
“This selection on merit following a robust review of performance, demonstrates that the unions are committed to developing international referees, who we hope to see officiating at the highest level, including future Rugby World Cups, in years to come.”
The 2018 edition of the Americas Rugby Championship promises to be the best yet with Americas Rugby, Sudamerica Rugby, Rugby Americas North and World Rugby teaming-up to bring fans closer to the action throughout.
