Colombia will face leaders Australia when they make their debut on the HSBC World Rugby Women's Seven Series in Atlanta on 8-9 April.

The South Americans, who have qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio, have been drawn in Pool A with Dubai and Sao Paulo winners Australia, as well as England and Fiji.

Canada, who finished runners-up last weekend in Sao Paulo, are top seeds in Pool B where they will play France, Russia and Ireland at the Fifth-Third Bank Stadium at Kennesaw State University.

Defending series and Atlanta champions New Zealand, who finished third in Sao Paulo, face hosts USA, Japan and Spain in Pool C.

The USA will be looking to build on last weekend's fourth place finish in Sao Paulo, and make a good impression in front of their home crowd in Atlanta.

“This team has been hard at work tackling adversity, growing together, and creating a dynamic environment where every member of the team plays a pivotal role in our success,” said USA Women's Sevens Eagle Alev Kelter.

“We are one unit starting to see the results of our hard work. I'm excited to continue to build depth, and fine-tune our systems and strategies going forward. The Atlanta Sevens is a key step in our ultimate goal of building the most complete team before the Summer Olympic Games.”

The Eagles were beaten by New Zealand in the Atlanta final last year and the two will come face to face again in the penultimate match of day one.

Jillion Potter, who featured in the Sao Paulo Dream Team after impressing for the USA, is looking forward to playing the best teams on home soil.

"USA Rugby's dedication to organise a World Series tournament in Atlanta will bring some of the world's best teams and players to the USA.

"Playing these great teams on home soil is extremely valuable for our team and growing the game of rugby. This tournament will allow the team to be tested and further evaluate our progression from previous tournaments. We can't wait to play in front of our family, friends, and fans."
