Hannah O’Connor (Ireland women)

Ireland number eight Hannah O’Connor will attend an independent disciplinary hearing after she received a red card for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.13 (dangerous tackle) in Ireland’s international match against Japan on 20 November, 2021.

The player will attend a hearing via video conference before an independent Judicial Committee chaired by Philippe Cavalieros (France), joined by former internationals Leon Lloyd (England) and Lawrence Sephaka (South Africa).

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, 23 November, 2021.

Rob Valetini (Australia men)

Australia number eight Rob Valetini will attend an independent disciplinary hearing after he received a red card for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.13 (dangerous tackle) in Australia’s international match against Wales on 20 November, 2021.

The player will attend a hearing via video conference before an independent Judicial Committee chaired by Mike Hamlin (England), joined by former international coach Frank Hadden (Scotland) and former international player Mike Ross (Ireland).

The hearing will take place on Friday, 26 November, 2021.

Tomás Lavanini (Argentina men)

Argentina second-row Tomás Lavanini will attend an independent disciplinary hearing after he received a red card for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.20(a) (dangerous play at ruck/maul) in Argentina’s international match against Ireland on 21 November, 2021

The player will attend a hearing via video conference before an independent Judicial Committee chaired by Roddy Dunlop (Scotland), along with two others to be confirmed.

The hearing will take place on Wednesday, 1 December, 2021.

Olivia DeMerchant (Canada women)

Canada prop Olivia DeMerchant will attend an independent disciplinary hearing after she received a red card for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.13 (dangerous tackle) in Canada’s international match against Wales on 21 November, 2021.

The player will attend a hearing via video conference before an independent Judicial Committee chaired by Tommy Dalton (Ireland), along with by former international referees Val Toma (Romania) and Donal Courtney (Ireland).

The hearing will take place on Wednesday, 1 December, 2021.

Sioeli Lama (Romania men)

Romania replacement Sioeli Lama will attend an independent disciplinary hearing after he was cited for an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.17 (a player must not tackle, charge pull, push or grasp an opponent whose feet are off the ground or just tackle in the air) in Romania’s international match against Tonga on 20 November, 2021. 

The player will attend a hearing via video conference before an independent Judicial Committee chaired by Philippe Cavalieros (France), joined by former international players David Croft (Australia) and Ofisa Tonu’u (New Zealand). 

The hearing will take place on Thursday, 25 November, 2021.
