World Rugby has launched today a revamped version of its laws App and website.
Available for free in 12 languages to support rugby’s global growth outside its traditional borders, the 2021 Laws of the Game is a must-have for anyone involved in playing, coaching, officiating and supporting the game from community to the elite level.
Featuring video examples, illustrations and referee signals, the 2021 edition of the App includes for the first-time recent law application guidelines, such as refereeing guidelines at the breakdown or uncontested scrums, and laws variations for Under 19, Sevens and 10s formats.
Once laws are mastered, every rugby enthusiast can test their knowledge on the laws website and take the World Rugby Laws Exam to obtain their personalised awareness certificate. The multiple-choice exam is a pre-requisite for many World Rugby and union-specific educational courses for referees, coaches and match management staff.
