YOKOHAMA, 13 Oct – Comments from Pieter Labuschagne (JPN) after Japan beat Scotland 28-21 at the International Stadium Yokohama on Sunday.

Pieter Labuschagne (JPN)

On the performance:
"Really happy about the result, a lot of hard work went into this. The past four games, is not only (about) the players, it's so much bigger. I'm just filled with joy."

On opponents Scotland:
"It was hard work from the first minute, right through to the end, Scotland are a really good team. They kept us on our toes, we needed to work for that, all credit to them as well."

On qualifying for the quarter-finals:
"It's something we've worked for, it was one of our goals we set for ourselves. Obviously at this moment we are very proud of the achievement. We'll enjoy it now and come back for the next game on Monday."

On facing South Africa:
"We will always believe in ourselves, hopefully we can give ourselves the best chance of winning the game."
