Tickets are now on sale for the final qualification tournaments for the rugby sevens events at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Rugby will take to sport’s biggest stage from 6-11 August when the world’s top men’s and women’s sevens players will make history as the sport returns to the Olympic Games for the first time in 92 years.

And with excitement and anticipation building across the global rugby family after stellar men’s and women’s HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, fans have an opportunity to be a part of rugby’s Olympic story at the Monaco and Dublin Sevens. Tickets are priced very competitively, making this world-class sevens action accessible to all.

Monaco Sevens (18-19 June)

HSBC Paris Sevens winners Samoa and fellow series regulars Canada and Russia head a global field of 16 nations who will compete at Monaco’s Stade Louis II.

Germany, Ireland, Hong Kong and Zimbabwe will also be dreaming of a place in Rio and, with just one place available and the draw making for a mouth-watering opening day, the action promises to be both highly competitive and compelling.

Home favourites Ireland are joined by Russia and Spain, and having played on the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series in 2015-16, this trio will be favourites to win the 16-team women’s event at the UCD Bowl, a host venue for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017.

Again, only one place is available so the race to Rio 2016 promises to be hugely exciting.
