In a change to the Emirates Match Officials appointments for Women's Rugby World Cup 2025, Aimee Barrett-Theron (South Africa) has replaced Natarsha Ganley (New Zealand) as assistant referee for the Pool D clash between France and Italy at Sandy Park, Exeter on Saturday, 23 August.

Barrett-Theron took charge of the opening match of the tournament on Friday in Sunderland, which hosts England won 69-7 against USA.

Sara Cox (RFU) will referee the match in Exeter, with Barrett-Theron and Maria Heitor (FPR) as assistant referees.
