World Rugby’s face-to-face courses and accreditations are delivered in most of our member unions by our network of over 2000 Licenced Trainers and Educators. This network delivers our courses on behalf of, and on the approval of, both their member unions and World Rugby. They are trained, quality assured, and licenced by World Rugby to do so.

Some of our larger member unions choose to deliver their own suite of Training and Education courses so please check with your union to find out what training courses are available in your union in the first instance.

Our team of Regional Training Managers and Medical Education Managers are responsible for the delivery of a needs-based programme of higher-level face-to-face courses delivered on a regional basis – for further information please contact them using the details below.

Most courses are open to all participants. However, for the higher-level courses there are entry criteria. Some courses, such as Match Day Staff, Match Day Doctor, Judicial Officer, High Performance Academy and Union Management programmes are invite only. The highest entry point in any strand is Level 2 dependent on prior learning.

Education Workforce courses are arranged by the Regional Training Managers depending on union need – participants must be nominated by their union and approved by the Regional Training Managers / Medical Education Managers to attend.
